Dr. Dawn Mehra
A graduate of WSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, Dr. Mehra has undergraduate degrees in both Wildlife Biology and in Fisheries Biology from the University of Idaho and worked several years with the I F and G department. Her interests are small animal medicine, dentistry, and she is the avian and exotic animal doctor at North Idaho Animal Hospital. |

Dr. Robert N. Pierce
A graduate of Washington State University in 1990, Dr. Pierce has undergraduate degrees in both Wildlife Biology and in Fisheries Biology from the University of Idaho and worked several years with the Idaho Fish and Game Department. His special interests include surgery (both orthopedic and soft tissue) and emergency medicine at North Idaho Animal Hospital.

Dr. Chrissy Wetzel
Raised in the Seattle area, Dr. Wetzel has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular biology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She graduated with her veterinary medical degree from Washington State University.
Her interests at North Idaho Animal Hospital include working closely with clients to provide quality and compassionate care to both surgical and medical patients. Her family includes her husband, Curtis, and “slightly spoiled” golden retriever Peyton. They are outdoor enthusiasts and active members in the Sandpoint community. |

Dr. Marty Becker
As a veterinarian, media personality, author, lecturer, educator, and recipient of many prestigious awards, Dr. Marty Becker has become known as the “best loved family doctor for pets.”Despite his demanding writing, speaking and television schedule, Dr. Becker still enjoys his work as a practicing veterinarian, at North Idaho Animal Hospital .
Dr. Becker has been instrumental in defining and celebrating the ‘human-animal’ bond throughout the world. His compassionate care and professionalism makes him a perfect fit with the North Idaho Animal Hospital team. We are proud to have him on our team. |

Dr. Michelle Ward
A Sandpoint native, Dr. Ward attended University of Idaho and graduated with a B.S. in Animal
Science in 1997, an M.S. in Equine Reproduction from University of Kentucky in 2001, and her medical degree from Ross University in 2008.
Dr. Ward is excited to be back “home” and reconnecting with old friends. Her professional goal is
to provide a link between clients and their pets while forming lifelong bonds with pet families
through veterinary medicine.
Her outside interests include outdoor activities especially snowmobiling, and spending time with
her husband and 2 dogs.

Dr. Cherise Neu
Dr. Neu graduated from Ross University after completing her senior year of medical school at Washington State University.
A Sandpoint native, Dr. Neu has returned to her hometown and is excited to practice part-time at North Idaho Animal Hospital. She attended University of Idaho and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science in 1998.
Dr. Neu manages her own large animal and equine business and is available for ‘Ranch Calls’ for her large animal clients. |

Dr. Susan Keller
Dr. Keller (shown here with Ginger) grew up in Pennsylvania and
graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. She
performed an internship in emergency and critical care medicine for
specialized training and practiced for 9 years in Wisconsin before
coming to North Idaho Animal Hospital 4 years ago. Her areas of
specialty at NIAH are feline medicine and emergency care. Dr.
Keller recently had her first child and is practicing as a relief doctor
while caring for her family. |
